About intelliFLEX Expansion Capital Advantage

Our Strategic Initiatives

We advocate to government on behalf of our Members, educate the marketplace on the capabilities and benefits of printable, flexible and hybrid electronics (FHE), and mentor pre-revenue companies to help them successfully pitch investors and government programs.

$100 Million Investment Challenge

Launched in May 2017, intelliFLEX’s $100 Million Industry Challenge is meant to create momentum for companies working to bring new products and applications to market. If we showcase where investments are being made, other investors will take notice and recognize the value of supporting the printable, flexible and hybrid electronics sector. Our goal is to report a total of $100 million or more in disclosed investments by the spring of 2019.

intelliFLEX industrial Members are asked to disclose any funding that they invest in research and product development, expansion of their manufacturing operations and commercialization. This can be capital they:

  1. Invest internally from their own cash flow for new development activities, expansion.
  2. External equity investment such as seed, angel, private equity or venture capital investments they receive.
  3. Contributions from government programs such as NRC IRAP or other federal pro-grams that require non-repayment.
  4. Other financing sources such credit lines, leases for capital equipment, issuance of debentures etc.

Take the challenge!

How does a technology startup secure that crucial first $100,000 in financing? You can pursue friends and family financing, talk to angel investors, investigate government programs or dip into your own resources to bootstrap, but there is another option, too – crowdfunding.

CPES Funding Panel

Financing is a critical issue for intelliFLEX’s industrial Members. At CPES, our annual conference and trade show exhibition, we pull together a panel of representatives from financing organizations and programs that are available to all our industrial Members and have already supported our sector in some way.

Check out the video course from our inaugural Funding Panel at CPES2017.

Startup Mentoring

Every year, industrial Members of intelliFLEX at a pre-revenue stage can tap into mentoring resources from fellow Members and our industry partners. Mentored startups can put themselves in the running for our Startup of the Year award and pitch our Financing Panel at CPES, intelliFLEX’s annual conference and trade show exhibition. Just making it to the finalist stage is an invaluable exercise that will strengthen your value proposition, provide visibility through our media partners and give you intimate access to potential investors.
