Melissa Grupen-Shemansky, CTO of FlexTech Alliance, the American industry association for the flexible and printed electronics industry supply chain. Grupen-Shemansky will deliver a keynote on the FHE Technology Road Map.
Jayson Myers, CEO of Next Generation Manufacturing Canada, an industry-led not-for-profit that leads the federal government’s Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster initiative. Jason will discuss how the Supercluster will help companies in Canada’s innovation corridor become world leaders in the adoption, scale-up, and production of advanced technologies in manufacturing, such as FHE.
Susanne Nejderås, Managing Director of Sweden’s Smart Textiles Institute at Science Park Boras. Susanne will discuss the role and activities of the Institute on the international stage. This unique innovation model reaches across the whole value chain to drive the development and adoption of next-generation smart textiles, particularly e-textiles.
Geneviève Tanguay, VP of Emerging Technologies at the National Research Council of Canada. Geneviève will chair our Women in FHE STEM Networking Breakfast and discuss breaking the glass ceiling in STEM and emerging tech.

Doyle Edwards, Director of Government Programs, Brewer Science, who will introduce and lead our Scaling Up 2D Flexible Electronics session.
Luc Frechette, Professor at the University of Sherbrooke and its Interdisciplinary Institute for Technological Innovation – 3IT. He has an extensive worldwide technology and business experience. He has spent his career from Engineer to Executive in high tech from running the Canadian and Eastern US divisions of a leading semiconductor company to being part of two start-ups.
George Palikaras, Founder and CEO of Metamaterial Technologies Inc., a smart materials and photonics company. George will discuss volume manufacturing and industrial applications for metamaterials using rolling lithography and scanning holography, which enables new levels of performance in flexible electronics.
Chantal Paquet is a research officer at the National Research Council of Canada developing functional materials for printable electronics. She will discuss the development of functional materials and their integration for application of printable electronics.
Erika Rebrosova, Electronic Materials Technology Manager at Sun Chemical, the world’s largest producer of printing inks. Rebrosova will discuss material advances for in-mould electronics.
David Rice, Senior VP of Marketing at TactoTEK, a leading solution provider for injection-moulded structural electronics (IMSE). Ilaria Varoli, Senior Vice-President at Myant. Myant made headlines last fall when it committed $100 million to the Advanced Manufacturing Supercluster proposal. Navdeep Bains, Canada’s Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development, named this Supercluster as one of the five winners last week. Varoli will chair our session on Smart Textiles and Wearables.
Sarah Vella, Senior Research Scientist at the Xerox Research Centre of Canada (XRCC), the global materials research and development centre for Xerox Corporation. XRCC has helped to shape the printed electronics innovation landscape. Vella will highlight research initiatives at XRCC that span materials development to integrated electronic devices.
Aaron Willinsky, R&D Specialist, Array Marketing, a global manufacturer of retail merchandising systems and displays for the health and beauty and apparel industries. Aaron will co-present a demonstration of a new FHE-enabled retail display developed in collaboration with TUKU.

Evolving International Standards Workshop Leaders:
Chris Jorgensen, Director Technology Transfer with IPC – Association Connecting Electronics Industries. This worldwide trade association represents the electronics interconnect industry. Jorgensen is staff liaison to standards development committees, including committees for e-textiles and printed electronics.
Haridoss Sarma, Research and Technology Scout and Go 2 Scout 4 R&T. A seasoned veteran in evaluating technology readiness levels and in technology transfer and commercialization. He and Jorgensen will discuss evolving new standards for FHE and how to incorporate these into your development processes for faster market access.
