Call for speakers, tabletop exhibitors, academic posters, Innovation Awards now open

OTTAWA—December 01, 2016—The Canadian Printable Electronics Industry Association (www.cpeia-acei.ca), has launched the website and registration for CPES2017, Canada’s premier conference and trade show exhibition for printable, flexible and wearable electronics (PE).  The call for speakers, tabletop exhibitors, academic posters and the CPES Innovation Awards is now open.

CPES2017 takes place May 24-26 at Centennial College’s new Conference Centre in Toronto. Over 100 organizations and 200 attendees are expected, with industry-leading speakers and keynotes from around the world.

Given that the CPEIA has surpassed 80 members, attendees should expect an even better conference in 2017 and growing community of application and end user companies at the conference. Presentations will focus on end uses in Intelligent Packaging, Intelligent Buildings, Aerospace and Defence, Automotive and Industrial Applications, Health and Wellness, Intelligent Documents, and Consumer Electronics and Wearables.

CPES2017 will feature two days of technical programming targeted at academics, PE industrial companies and end-use companies alike on May 24 and 25.

The call for speaking submissions, academic posters and tabletop exhibitors is now open. The submission deadline is Jan. 20. Submissions are welcome related to the key themes of the conference and should focus on the end use applications of these technologies:

  • 2D large area and 3D printable electronics
  • Advances in inks, pastes, substrates, manufacturing methods
  • Advances in flexible electronics
  • Advances in wearable electronics
  • Advances in components such as sensors, batteries, lights, displays antennas and memory.
  • Hybrid electronics that connect printable and flexible electronics with integrated circuits or traditional electronics

Submit your nomination for the CPES Innovation Awards

The second annual CPES Innovation Awards will feature two award categories, to recognize achievements in research innovation and industrial commercialization. The submission deadline is Feb. 17, 2017.

In keeping with the themes and focus of CPES, award applicants should highlight collaboration across the industry ecosystem between various industry and R&D players, to address real needs in various market verticals. More information can be found on the conference website.

In addition, we are adding a third day of optional programming on May 26 that will feature Master Classes and Financing and Mentoring Sessions for companies.
