OTTAWA— March 01, 2017—The Canadian Printable Electronics Industry Association (www.cpeia-acei.ca) continues build its roster of Members from among Canada’s academic community and the ranks of innovative early- and growth-stage companies.

York University

York University (www.yorku.ca) is a leading interdisciplinary research and teaching university in Toronto that offers a modern, academic experience at the undergraduate and graduate level. Established in 2012, the Lassonde School of Engineering at York offers a broad range of undergraduate and graduate programs in engineering, computer science and earth and atmospheric science. This $250-million initiative includes hiring 100 new faculty and staff, expanding the student body by 1,500, and fostering an inclusive and diverse culture committed to advancing gender parity.

Researchers in the Lassonde School of Engineering tackle a variety of challenges related to printed electronics and additive manufacturing ranging from fluid mechanics to printed microelectronic devices to 3D printing and biomedical lab-on-chip applications. This growing community at York is looking for industrial and academic partners to answer fundamental and applied questions that will advance printed electronics and build the Canadian printed electronics ecosystem.
