Dylan Horvath (B.A.Sc Systems Design Engineering U of W 97, ACIDO, EO) 43, is a father of 3 and the owner of Cortex Design. Dylan’s firm designs products for medical and related sciences innovation companies and corporate startups. Cortex Design helps innovators launch engaging products with a focus on human-centred design and engineering.
Using Human-Centred Design Principles in Product Design
Dylan will present an interactive workshop with case studies and examples from Cortex Design’s portfolio. Dylan will show how empathy-led design and ethnographic techniques are employed to create products that are resonant, relevant, and profitable. The workshop will include a change for the participants to explore their own product design challenges, and offer techniques and insights into how to explore the voice of the customer in engineered product design.
